简介：In the early 1900s, young heiress Mary loses her entire family when her trusted governess Jane conspires to seize their fortune and has them killed. Years later, Mary returns under the new name Evelyn, infiltrating the noble castle where Jane now lives, posing as a maid to exact her revenge. She deliberately draws close to Jane’s son, Sebastian, and amidst schemes and secrets, the two slowly fall in love. Torn between passion and vengeance, Evelyn ruins Jane’s reputation and ultimately ensnares Sebastian in her plot. In the end, Jane descends into madness and the castle is consumed by flames. Sebastian returns with a broken arm, and Evelyn comes back to him with a child, bringing their twisted tale of love and hatred to a bittersweet close.
