简介：Ten years ago, Amelia was framed for arson by her adoptive sister Lucy, and her parents, brother, and even her fiancé Louis sided with Lucy to have her shipped off to a remote island prison. Now she’s finally released—gaunt, scarred, and exhausted—only to walk into her family cheerfully celebrating Lucy’s birthday. Smiling sweetly, Lucy names Amelia’s fiancé as her “birthday present,” and no one objects. Just then, Professor Lucas—the only one who ever believed in her art—calls, offering her a fresh start in Paris, but he can only wait one month. Amelia needs to survive just one more month in this house of betrayal. The question is: will they let her go?
