简介：In the beautiful region of Qianxinan, Guizhou, college graduate Wang Xiaoshi (Liu Zhiyang), who returns to his hometown with beekeeping techniques, and village chief Zheng Jinzhu (Zhao Liang), a seasoned poverty alleviation veteran, become an unlikely duo in their fight against poverty. In practice, Wang Xiaoshi is mocked by Zheng Jinzhu for his lack of experience. Wang unexpectedly reunites with his lost love, Zheng Yujuan. Despite repeated setbacks in promoting the beekeeping plan in the village, Wang takes on Zheng's challenge to prove himself—helping three stubborn, impoverished households rise out of poverty: the eccentric, lonely Granny Rong; the alcoholic Liu Laojiu; and the simple-minded young man Zhou Erhan. Each poses unique difficulties, leaving Wang frustrated. Yet the beekeeping poverty alleviation project doesn't go smoothly, filled with chaotic farces and obstacles. As the Spring Festival approaches, Wang Xiaoshi is determined to help everyone solve their troubles, but above all, he wants to earn the approval of his future father-in-law, Zheng Jinzhu.
