Synopsis：A tranquil village by the Yellow River is struck by calamity when a floating coffin appears. Strange incidents plague the village, and people begin to disappear. The head of the Zhao family, a clan of water ghosts, leads a team to investigate underwater, but none survive; he himself is gravely injured and, before dying, leaves behind twelve words: "When the floating coffin emerges, seal the waterway; sink livestock, calm the waves." Thirty years later, famine ravages the village, livestock are long dead, and the floating coffin reappears earlier than expected. The helpless old village head decides to sacrifice the elderly, weak, and sick to the river. Zhao Bai, the rebellious and underestimated young master of the Zhao family, meets a member of the Chen family during his coming-of-age ceremony—someone afflicted with a strange hereditary disease and a short lifespan. They believe the floating coffin is the long-sought "Dead Man's Life," their only hope. Determined to save the desperate villagers and free the village from the mysterious coffin's threat, Zhao Bai embarks on a perilous journey with the enigmatic Chen family member.
