Synopsis：The film *Donkey Gets on the Tree* tells the story of a First Secretary stationed in a village to lead poverty alleviation efforts, showcasing breakthroughs in China's healthy economic and social development as well as the construction of a new socialist countryside. It mainly follows the journey of First Secretary Lin Dawei over his two-year term, depicting a series of conflicts and clashes he faces, and movingly portrays how he unites the party members and villagers of a poor mountain village with sincerity, wisdom, and a sense of responsibility to strengthen the community and enrich its people. To authentically shape three-dimensional, down-to-earth, and vivid characters, the script was specially crafted by scriptwriter Ze Wenjiang of Shandong Film & TV Production, who lived in the village to experience life firsthand. Based on real cases of numerous First Secretaries, the script underwent five revisions and painstaking polishing, aiming to vividly recreate on screen the little-known stories of village-based poverty alleviation efforts.
