Synopsis：The film is set in 1945, near the end of the Second Sino-Japanese War. It tells the story of the Jire-Liao Military Region, which, in coordination with the Soviet Red Army's counterattack on Chengde, sends Company Commander Zhang Jun to take over as the district commander of the Shuangta Mountain guerrilla area to orchestrate a joint internal and external offensive. Before Zhang Jun's arrival, the guerrilla forces had suffered repeated heavy losses due to the collaboration of landowner Yan Shichang with the Japanese and puppet troops. The previous district commander, Zhao Shanlin, was killed in action, and the base area was on the verge of collapse. On his way to assume the post, Zhang Jun captures puppet army company commander Wu Dequan through a ruse, forces his stronghold to surrender, and seizes a batch of weapons, alleviating the guerrilla forces' equipment shortage. Subsequently, he joins forces with village head Lin Jiang, Women's Salvation Association director Chunling, and others to reorganize the ranks, and becomes acquainted with former Jiguan Mountain chieftain Feng Jiaji. Feng, who harbors an old grudge against Yan Shichang, is bent on revenge and later cooperates with Zhang Jun to eliminate the enemy. Zhang Jun uses the opportunity of Yan Shichang forcing Zhao Shanlin's daughter Zhao Jiahui into marriage to set up an ambush, wiping out several Japanese and puppet troops. Jiahui personally shoots dead the Japanese officer Kobayashi, her father's murderer, and Feng Jiaji also kills Yan Shichang with his own hands.
